The South greets the North

The Tymoteusz Karpowicz Foundation has published Sławomir Hornik's second poetry collection, "Południe pozdrawia północ" (The South Greets the North).

Sławomir Hornik's poetry is based on the relationship between letters and the alphabet – motifs that rarely appear in contemporary literature. The poet uses all dimensions of word and writing: phonetic and visual values, as well as ambiguity, to both track the mysteries of existence and create them suggestively. Meditation on the supra-word and writing – on the powers of creation and destruction hidden within them – can be one of the keys to interpreting his poems. But certainly not the only one.
