About this place

After 12 years of running an iconic venue in Wrocław, we felt it was time to bring our energy to the seaside. We opened Tajne Komplety in Gdańsk with a simple belief: that Gdańsk needs an intimate, uncompromising place where books can be chosen unhurriedly and in a friendly atmosphere.

We are located at Długa Street 35 – on one of Gdańsk's most beautiful and vibrant thoroughfares. Although the city pulsates outside the window, once you cross our threshold, you enter a completely different world. It is filled with thousands of carefully selected titles, the aroma of excellent coffee, and a cozy reading area that invites you to stay longer.

It is here, in cooperation with the Gdańsk City of Literature project, that we are building a lively center of independent culture. We are open to local creative communities, debates about the contemporary world, and art in every form. Come visit us, have a coffee, browse niche new releases, and feel at home.

What will you find here?

Niche Publishers

An extensive and uncompromising collection of books. Here you will find plenty of contemporary poetry, essays, reportage, and titles from small, independent publishers that are hard to find in chain stores.

Pomeranica and Locality

A wide selection of literature dedicated to Gdańsk and the region, as well as a rich offer from local Gdańsk publishers. We ensure that local identity has its permanent place here.

Cozy café

Drinks are available on site. You can sit at a table and browse books at your leisure before purchasing them.

Posters & art

Original, unique graphics, postcards and posters created by renowned Polish artists. Perfect as a gift or to add character to your own interior.
