Forgetting

Brzoska / Gawroński

The third album by the duo Brzoska and Gawroński, "Zapominanie" (Forgetting), has been released by the Tymoteusz Karpowicz Foundation. 

The duo invited acclaimed guests to collaborate: Przemek Borowiecki, Małgorzata "Tekla" Tekiel, Marcin "Cozer" Markiewicz, and Wojtek Bubak. 

Poetic electronics and more. All worth remembering.

After a four-year hiatus, they return with an excellent album titled "Zapominanie" (Forgetting). The Katowice natives don't pretend to be anyone other than who they are: 

Brzoska – a poet experimenting with associations, who doesn't try to convince us that he can or wants to sing, and Gawroński – a producer experimenting with electronics. The whole makes an astonishing impression. 

"(...) Zapominanie holds its own precisely because it offers listeners varied stimuli. On one hand, we have Wojtek Brzoska's poetry, difficult to interpret, exploring the meanders of human nature, and his dispassionate melodeclamation; on the other, electropop and downtempo performed by Gawroński. And even if this is quite far from the classic sounds of Detroit, it's hard to imagine more distant associations than with Brzoska's verbal study of the decomposition of soul and body. And yet it plays brilliantly!" - writes Anna Gromnicka about the album.
