Cegła Magazine No. 51
Brick on the Pitch / poems about football
The theme of the 51st issue of Cegła Magazine is poems with a football motif. We have enclosed the issue in a pitch folded in half, which makes for an appealing cover, and the magazine is stored in a case made of artificial turf, on which we have spray-painted a fragment of the pitch lines. Additionally, the first 100 copies come with a commemorative football pennant with the Cegła motif, designed by Aleksandra Ozimek, who designed flags and graphic materials for the opening of Euro 2024 in Berlin.
The poems were selected by: Karol Pęcherz, Jakub Podlewski, and Julia Szychowiak. In the 51st issue of the magazine, you will find poems by authors such as Karol Maliszewski, Andrzej Sosnowski, Marcin Świetlicki, Krzysztof Śliwka, Andrzej Niewiadomski, Bohdan Zadura, Wojciech Brzoska, Tomasz Bąk, Jerzy Jarniewicz, and Bartek Majzel.
Below the poems, in the background on subsequent pages, we can observe a sequence of players' movements during a goal-scoring action. We used a recording of the action from a technical camera mounted centrally above the pitch, which was then transferred to paper.
