Following Paweł Kaczmarski's debut literary criticism book "High Connectivity", we present the second publication issued by the

Tymoteusz Karpowicz Foundation, which showcases the newest generation of Wrocław's literary critics. "And there is the power of distant life in this elegy" by Marta Koronkiewicz is a monograph presented as an engaging, cohesive essay dedicated to the work of one of the most important, most frequently awarded, and most captivating contemporary Polish poets in critical circles. The author portrays Andrzej Sosnowski as a seeker of unalienated life, tracing moments of sensual experience and an unconventional utopia in his poems.

Marta Koronkiewicz - born in 1987, a graduate of Polish philology at the University of Wrocław, specializing in literary criticism. She received a second-degree award in the Czesław Zgorzelski Competition for the best literary master's thesis ("An Anthropological Approach to Experience in the Poetry of Andrzej Sosnowski"). In 2016, she defended her doctoral dissertation with distinction, titled "The Poetics of Everyday Life. Adam Ważyk's Poetic, Translational, and Essayistic Work in the Context of Everyday Life Studies". Nominated for her literary critical activity - as a member of various teams - for the WARTO Award in the literature category in 2012, 2014, and 2015. Deputy editor-in-chief of "Przerzutnia. Magazine of literature and studies on everyday life" (www.przerzutnia.pl), she also belongs to the editorial board of the translation journal "WIDMA. A Journal of American and Polish Verse" (http://www.widma.pl/). She co-edits the 8th issue of "Odra". She co-created "Critical Creations" - a series of discussions on contemporary humanities (kreacje-krytyczne.blogspot.com). She co-organizes Mikrofestiwal - Festival of Young Poetry. She participated in seminars of the UAM Workshop for Borderline Questions: "Fragments of a Discourse of Love" (2010/2011), "Social Machines" (2011/2012), "Laboratory of Anthropofiction" (2012/2013), and in an international seminar organized by the Transatlantic Walt Whitman Association. Her research interests include modernist and contemporary poetry, literary anthropology, everyday life studies, and socio-political contexts of poetry. She specializes in literary criticism.
