Andreas P. Rotab

The Tymoteusz Karpowicz Foundation presents the first of its 2014 book releases: "The Sequence of Andreas P. Rotab." There is an excellent sequence of "drinking literature," and to join it is a daunting challenge. Rotab exceeds expectations. What's more, writing a novel about drinking without specifying doses or advertising alcoholic beverages, and without allowing the protagonist to leave a single room even for a moment, seems an impossible task. Yet, here it is. We won't get to know the author, but participating in a drama impossible to stage might be a more interesting form of knowing. No stage could accommodate this drama, as it would require inviting forces and characters too powerful. Yet, Rotab built and brought it to life. Love, art, and God blackmailing his Son in the pinpoint thirty-six righteous lights within the movements of cigarette smoke. And a whole host of philosophers in company. Cheers!

Karol Maliszewski writes about "The Sequence": "Even with the previous book, I was able to fly far with that carefree concern, but now it's different; consciousness has grown and is calling. It sounds like a scream that must be heard immediately, and the battle is over the most important issues, with the meaning of life, love, God, and art at the forefront. It strikes at something very essential, a pulsating pain of contemporary culture; it wants to provoke discussion, if there is still anything to discuss.

A mysterious book, a pyramid of contradictions, but it stays with the reader and festers." Andreas P. Rotab (born in the 20th century) considers his life, which he experiences through travel, to be happy. He currently resides in Silesia.
